The Lasertrade platform offers a number of protections

Platform-provided protections

When you purchase from within Australia, the following protections apply to all listings from sellers on Lasertrade as identified by the badge on listings.

1. Payment protection

Your payment does not go directly into the sellers account. It is held securely with our payment partner, Stripe, until sale completion. This holds the seller accountable until the sale is complete and allows us to assist if something goes wrong, or return your funds if needed (e.g. if the order is not sent).

2. Post-delivery review

Once your order has been received, you have a 3 day review period to ensure it is as described. If there is an issue you can raise it it through the order. The following will then apply: 

  1. Your concerns will first be passed on to the seller to address.
  2. If the seller is unable to resolve your issue, you can escalate to Lasertrade by creating a dispute. The seller will not receive their funds while there is an active dispute.
  3. If the seller has misrepresented the order you will be entitled to have the order returned at the sellers expense and receive a refund for the order. Alternatively you may accept another resolution such as a partial refund or repair).

Note: Unfortunately you will not be able to receive a refund for the cost of the intitial shipping as this is paid to the courier for the service provided.

3. Money-back guarantee

Lasertrade's user agreement holds sellers accountable to consumer law, which gives buyers the right to return a product if it is not fit-for-purpose, or as advertised/described byt he seller.

As described in the process above, if the order is received and found to be not as described, this may result in a return and refund of the sale amount (excluding the initial shipping fees).

4. Transport Assurance Warranty 

Lasertrade offers Transport Assurance Warranty up to the value of $10,000 AUD. If an item is damaged in transit, Lasertrade will organise the claim to resolve the damage.

Hassle-free return

In addition to the protections above, sellers can opt to add a "hassle free return" option to their listing, as identified by the following badge.

If you see this badge on a listing it means the seller will accept hassle-free returns for purchases made within Australia. This means that you can initiate a return within the 3-day review period, no questions asked.

Note: unlike the money back guarantee provided by the platform on all listings (see above), a hassle-free return consitutes a change of mind. As such, you will need to pay for the return shipping which will be organised by Lasertrade and sent back the same way it was delivered.

Warning: The order must be sent back in the exact same condition as it was delivered. You must not use or change the item/s in any way.
