When you arrange a pick up through the Lasertrade platform, you agree to certain rules
Pick up rules for buyers
1. You may not cancel your sale through Lasertrade, in order to transact directly
Some sellers may ask you to arrange a pick up and pay them directly, in order to avoid fees.
If you have checked out a device on the platform, you are committed to completing your transaction through Lasertrade and may not cancel your purchase in order to pay the seller directly.
You are only able to cancel your sale if the item/s are not as described. If you this is the case, you can raise an issue through your order and provide evidence that the order is not as described, which will be reviewed.
2. You may not falsify an issue in order to cancel a sale
As above, you can only cancel an order if it is not as described. You must provide clear and legitimate evidence to help us determine that your claim is valid.
Providing false, misleading, or incomplete evidence may not result in a sale cancellation, in which case you will not be able to receive a refund.
3. You must not take possession of the order if there is an issue
If you find that your order is not described by the seller in their listing and communications, you must leave the order where it is, take clear photos and video of the issues, and then submit the issues through the platform.
4. You must initiate payment to the seller upon taking possession
When you pick up the item, you must log into your account, locate your order, and click "Pay the seller". You can also find this link in the relevant email. This will initiate a payout of the seller's sale funds to their nominated account.
The seller's funds may automatically be disbursed if you fail to do this.
5. You must be responsive to all communications from Lasertrade
In order to provide a safe pick up option, Lasertrade requires that all parties are responsive to our communications. Failure to respond to attempted communications may result in unexpected outcomes.
Example: If a seller makes a claim, and we cannot reach you to determine otherwise, we may need to take action in accordance with the seller's claim.
Pick up rules for sellers
1. You may not transact directly with the buyer or ask them to cancel their sale on Lasertrade
If a buyer has checked out your item/s on Lasertrade, you are both committed to completing your transaction through Lasertrade. The buyer may not cancel their purchase in order to pay you directly.
By asking a buyer to pay you directly or cancel their order, you are violating Lasertrade's user agreements and creating financial risk for both parties.
2. You must allow the buyer to provide evidence if the order is not as described
If the buyer believes the order is not as described in your listing and communications, they must leave the order where it is, and you must allow them to take take clear photos and video of the issues, which they can submit to us through the platform for assessment.
3. You are responsible for ensuring the buyer initiated your payment upon taking possession of the order
Your funds are help securely in a Stripe account in your name. The buyer can login to their order and click "Pay the Seller" in order to intitiate payment into your nominated bank account. You will receive an email confirmation, and your sale witll be updated in the Lasertrade portal when they have done this.
It is important that you ask them to complete this step before leaving with the item/s.
Note: Once initiated, payment can take up to 3 business days to reach your account.
4. You must be responsive to all communciations from Lasertrade
